Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) can be a tough subject, but if you're having sex you need to be aware of the signs, symptoms, and treatments.
STIs are infections and can be bacterial, viral, or parasitic in nature. They are transmitted through sexual contact, be it anal, vaginal, or oral. That's right, you don't actually have to engage in penetration to contact an STI. Some of the most common STIs on college campuses are; HPV, chlamydia, gonorrhoea, genital herpes. Most bacterial STIs, like gonorrhoea, are relatively easy to cure with antibiotics if detected early. So get tested!
